ITINERARY
From Marrakech to our way to Demnat, we’ll make a stop at à Iminifri, where we’d take a little stroll and visit this astonishing natural site (the natural bridge). We’ll make another stop next to the village of IOUARIDENE, to see some Dinosaurs footprints. We’ll then take a mountainous road on our way to the red valley of Ait Boulli, before getting to the happy valley of Ait Bougmez. In the afternoon, we’ll start our trek in this beautiful valley with a little ascension of the Arous valley, where we’ll discover the everyday life of the Atlas’ Berbers. 5h drive. Around a 1H walk. Night in a gîte (mountain hut).
During this day, we’ll discover the valley of Ait Bougmez; with its beautiful villages and their traditional architecture, fields lined with apple trees and walnut trees, the warm welcome of the locals.4H walk. Night in the inhabitant’s lodging.
We’ll continue our hike by exploring the dinosaur footprints in the heart of Ibaklioun village. We’ll then ascend the Adazen Ridge by the Juniper Forest, from where we can contemplate a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains (Azouri, Igoudamen). during the descent, we’ll take a wide path to the Ifren village, where we’d be staying for the night, in the hut of a local of Zaouiat Oualmzi. 4h30 walk.
During this last day of hiking in the valley Ait Bougmez, we’ll discover its natural heritage, it’s architectural and cultural wealth; we’ll be crossing so many villages, which will give us so many opportunities to meet with the villagers, seeing them working in their fields, and seeing the women doing laundry by the river … The houses are built of rammed earth and blend with the beautiful landscapes of the Atlas. We’ll then climb the old Marabout and cooperative storage of Sidi Moussa, and take a moment to contemplate the astonishing view of the valley. 5H walk. Night at a local’s in Timit.
After breakfast, we’ll take another road to Azilal. We’ll visit Ouzoud Waterfalls; a 110m high, three level waterfalls, on Wadi Ouzoud, at 1060m altitude in the Middle of the Moroccan Atlas. Arrival to Marrakech. End of our services.
